Accessibility Statement

Precision Heating & Cooling is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains the standards we target, the measures we take, and how to report a barrier.

Effective 2026-06-25 · drafted by CIWG for client legal review

Plain-Language Summary

Precision Heating & Cooling is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance and align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If something on this site is hard to use, please call (408) 642-8674 or email info@pheating.com — we'll help you get the information you need and fix the issue as soon as we can.

1. Our Commitment

Precision Heating & Cooling believes everyone in our community should be able to find information about heating and cooling services, request a quote, and contact us — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. We make accessibility a continuous part of how we build and update this website, not a one-time check.

2. Conformance Target

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG defines how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological differences.

We also build this site to align with the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state laws.

3. Measures We Take

To support accessibility, our team:

• Uses semantic HTML structure (headings, lists, landmarks) so screen readers can navigate the page logically.

• Writes descriptive alt text for informative images and uses empty alt attributes for decorative images, so screen-reader users hear what matters and skip what doesn't.

• Maintains a minimum 4.5:1 text-to-background color contrast ratio (3:1 for large text) for body content, with brand-color combinations re-checked when the design changes.

• Designs interactive elements (links, buttons, menus, forms) to be operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.

• Supplies form fields with clear labels and accessible error messages, not just color-coded states.

• Provides a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.

• Avoids auto-playing audio, blocking auto-rotating content, and motion that can trigger vestibular issues — and honors the user's prefers-reduced-motion browser setting.

• Reviews accessibility whenever we make significant design or content changes, and we plan to perform a full WCAG 2.2 AA audit at least once per year.

4. Known Limitations

We strive for full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, but no website is ever perfect. Areas where we are still improving include:

• Third-party content. Our website embeds content from third-party providers — for example, our financing partner's application portal, mapping providers, review widgets, video, and social-media embeds. Those providers control their own accessibility, and we cannot guarantee their experiences meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We choose vendors with documented accessibility programs whenever possible and provide an alternative path (such as calling us at (408) 642-8674) for any third-party feature you cannot use.

• PDFs, brochures, and older blog posts. Some downloadable documents and older articles were created before our current accessibility process. We are working through them as we update content.

• Real-time features. Live chat, scheduling widgets, and other real-time tools may not be fully accessible in every assistive-tech configuration. Please contact us directly if you encounter a barrier.

If you encounter content you cannot access, please tell us using the contact information in Section 6 — we will get you the information another way and prioritize a fix.

5. Technical Specifications

Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies working with the user agent (browser) and any assistive technologies installed on your device: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, JavaScript, and standard image formats (WebP, PNG, JPEG, SVG). These technologies are required to render and interact with the site as designed.

6. Feedback & Assistance

Accessibility is a continuous effort, and we want to hear from you. If you encounter a barrier on this website, if you need information in another format, or if you'd like to share feedback on how we can improve, please reach out:

Phone: (408) 642-8674

Email: info@pheating.com

Mail: Precision Heating & Cooling, 1557 Monterey Rd, San Jose, CA 95110

Please describe the barrier (the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using if any). We aim to respond within five (5) business days and to provide the information you need by an alternative method while we work on a fix.

7. Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice or your state's civil-rights office about your concerns. In California, you may contact the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (now the Civil Rights Department) at calcivilrights.ca.gov.

8. Date & Review

This statement was last updated on 2026-06-25. It is reviewed whenever we make a significant change to the website and at least once per year.
